- What does your genesis artwork mean to you today?
Oracles was really an experiment for me (and a proof-of-concept for emprops.ai). No one had released a non-curated AI project at the time. We dropped Oracles in the middle of the night (EST) without much announcement. To all of our surprise it got quickly collected and long-form generative AI was born. I'm proud of the fact that Oracles will always be the genesis project for this growing genre.

- What was a significant event that happened in the 10-year history of Blockchain art that influenced you as an artist?
I remember having coffee with a past student and him excitedly telling me about Art Blocks. I was honestly shocked to see that creative coding was (finally) becoming mainstream and that people were making substantial money selling it. My history in generative art goes back to the 1990's, and it seemed inconceivable back then that there would ever be a marketplace for code-based art.

- What message(s) are you sharing in your new {R(Evolutionaries);} artwork?
Concurrent with the {R(Evolutionaries);} drop, I am included in an exhibition in Goa India (this.generation), where Oracles is being displayed as an IRL installation. Avatars is both a companion and follow-up project to Oracles that I am thrilled to be able to drop in Dubai.
