- What does your genesis artwork mean to you today?

My genesis artwork minted on the blockchain, titled "Henry Darger x Paul Cézanne #1", is part of my AI Maships series, in which I use AI technology to conjure up creative collaborations that never happened. This particular work imagines a collaboration between outsider artist Henry Darger and Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne. I've found AI to be an incredible tool to explore what might have been. This genesis piece set me down a path of exploring alternate histories - alternate art histories and, later, alternate personal histories.

- What was a significant event that happened in the 10-year history of Blockchain art that influenced you as an artist?

The emergence of art on the blockchain made using GAN and AI technologies had a huge impact on me as an artist. I began seeing and collecting these fascinating works, and was soon inspired to begin using AI to create art myself. I am a trained photographer but had not made work in years due to my career, having a family, lack of space, etc. The ease of access of these technologies allowed me to have a creative renaissance in midlife, and I am eternally grateful for that.
