- What does your genesis artwork mean to you today?

It was the beginning of something new that is still impacting my life for the better today. It was the start of a new narrative that changed my life. In a strange combination of images from an oscilloscope, from my work on a series of art pieces using oscilloscopes, and a newfound interest in AI GAN technologies I combined the two. But the true power is that I found a community of artists and art lovers and art investors and developers that can work together at their own pace world wide. The ability to leverage a living out of art that is traded on a 24/7 network is revolutionary. I can work with people in almost any country and share the value gained. The smart contract enables collaboration and a trustless way to explore and share. The artwork is not what is meaningful, it is the people who I have met because of it.

- What was a significant event that happened in the 10-year history of Blockchain art that influenced you as an artist?
The invention of the smart contract. The first one I was exposed to was the Ethereum Virtual Machine. This is what enabled the NFT and the ability to manage royalties. Although royalties should have been coded into the standard to have a mandatory configuration setting, it still changed the way artists could fund their work. Artists are essential to the culture and happiness of the world and deserve to have a way to maintain a healthy life. I have been able to create art that is actually a smart contract and the image is generated from the code of the contract itself.

- What message(s) are you sharing in your new {R(Evolutionaries);} artwork?

The blockchain has released (unchained) a new worldwide cooperative culture. The concept of an electronic superhighway for artists has been realized. The idea that money, ideas, code and art can coexist and be leveraged as a culture is revolutionary. I want to share in the art the potential of a global reality of cooperation, free speech, sovereignty, decentralization and fair compensation that blockchain can bring to each individual.
